Scott Donald Architecture designed Winter House entirely from scratch and without design constraints. Set in rural England and surrounded by an acre of greenery filled with protected trees, this modernist-inspired house seeks to visually eliminate the barriers between indoor space and the natural landscape.
The architects complemented the clean, modernist interiors with various designs from Sattler lighting, Flos Architectural, Decorative and Outdoor collections, carefully chosen for their considerate, minimal approach aimed to enhance the house’s sophisticated atmosphere and subtly frame the ample living spaces. UT Downlights accentuate the owner’s eclectic art collection. The Tracking Magnet is the architectural solution to create ambience light while presenting minimal aesthetics and total flexibility that relies on the magic of magnetic support.
The most iconic decorative pieces include Snoopy in the textured black matt finish, IC Lights and the best-seller Glo-ball family.
The exquisite Girata by Sattler is showcased above the dining table; the delicate and slender look and the three different sizes give the space a sense of airy dynamism and lightness.
The stunning architectural gardens are lit with Flos’ Aimer, Gobi and the ultra-sculptural Landlord, the perfect combination for discreetly calling attention to nature’s masterpieces that lie just beyond the building’s thresholds.
