Located within Bristol’s historic Redcliffe conservation area, near the iconic floating harbour and St Thomas the Martyr church, the Centre’s meticulously planned layout caters to both regular and occasional users. Courtrooms, judge’s hearing rooms, and support spaces are all intelligently oriented around a central atrium that brilliantly floods the interior with natural light, significantly enhancing wayfinding. Our expertise in daylight harvesting and integrated lighting design ensured that these bright, clear visual connections guide visitors seamlessly through the building, creating a truly welcoming and intuitive front-of-house experience.
Atrium developed the front-of-house areas, ensuring a clear and welcoming experience within this light-filled building. Our sustainable approach, utilising energy-efficient LED luminaires and intelligent controls, was instrumental in contributing to the project’s BREEAM Excellent certification, solidifying its status as a leader in sustainable civic building lighting and demonstrating our commitment to creating high-performance, user-centric environments.
