The starting point for the design process of Oblique was a completely new technology developed by Flos. An ingenious combination of LEDs and lenses that only need a thin amount of space to produce an extremely bright and bundled beam of light that falls ‘obliquely’ from the luminaire head onto the table. I designed this luminaire around this core.

Oblique is the natural evolution of the classic office swing arm model. With its robust, compact structure and timeless design, it produces a patented, very powerful and controlled asymmetric light beam, perfect for professional lighting of the work area.

Oblique rethinks the archetype of the traditional office table lamp through an iconic design that offers extreme functionality with a few simple elements. The optical unit can be directed 355° on the axis to comfortably reach any area of the work surface. A patented ultra-flat lens with a very high efficiency of 97%. Rounded flat head for minimum visual intrusion.

Base with an integrated wireless charging system. Allows you to charge your smartphone while freeing your desk from unsightly crossed cables.
