Located on Mount Street in the heart of Mayfair, London, the newly opened first UK flagship store of FoundRae brings the brand’s signature maximalist fine jewellery and modern heirlooms to life.
Designed by Tanner Design Limited, Decon Project Managers, Studio Lourdes the boutique combines ornate Victorian architecture with the nostalgic charm of a traditional antique bookshop, enhanced by rich red interiors, beautifully crafted timber detailing and warm, intimate lighting.
More than simply illuminating the jewellery, the lighting scheme featuring luminaires from Flos’s architectural and bespoke range supports FoundRae’s unique storytelling approach and creates an immersive journey throughout the boutique.
Thoughtfully placed pools of light and focal points guide customers throughout the space, drawing attention to key displays and encouraging moments of discovery at every turn. Delicate accent lighting highlights the intricate craftsmanship and symbolism behind each piece, bringing depth, texture and brilliance to the collections, while maintaining a welcoming residential atmosphere. Carefully balanced ambient lighting complements the layered interior palette, enhancing the sense of warmth and intimacy found throughout the boutique.
From the library-inspired retail space to the private appointment rooms beyond, light has been used to reinforce the feeling of exploration and personal connection that sits at the heart of the brand. The result is a refined and characterful environment where heritage architecture, contemporary luxury and meaningful design come together to create a memorable customer experience.
